Managing Director and Lead for P3M Activities
David joined RB Safety after a highly successful 27 years in the Royal Navy where he gained a significant level of operational experience as well as working in the policy, programmes and plans divisions of the MOD and the Royal Navy. This included development of the long term strategy for the sustainment of the UK sovereign capability to deliver nuclear powered submarines that was the forerunner of the propulsion solution now being delivered for the Successor SSBN, HMS Dreadnought and class.
Mike has recently joined RB Safety after a very successful career in the Royal Navy that culminated in his role as Director Submarines in the DE&S, responsible for the design, production and support of the Royal Navy’s future nuclear powered submarines, reflecting the transition from Design to Manufacture of the Dreadnought Class SSBN. Mike has a track record of managing MOD Design Authorities, has been responsible for safety and output at the waterfront and is now, in his role as RB Safety’s Engineering Director, leading our expansion in the civil nuclear sector.
Rob has over 35 years leadership and management experience working in civil and defence nuclear power plant design, construction, commissioning, repair and operation. He is a Project, Safety and Change Management practitioner with considerable experience in the Ministry of Defence and the UK nuclear industry. Having operated at Board level in a variety of roles he sits on a number of safety committees as an independent advisor and provides support to a number of clients as the Safety Director for RB Safety. As such he works closely with Mike Wareham for the delivery of our Safety and Engineering function.
Lead for Integrated Logistics Support
Simon has worked in the maritime domain for over 30 years and has considerable engineering and support credentials to meet the requirements of the client. Having operated as a submarine Weapons Engineer and more recently as the Head of a Project Team within the DE&S, Simon has been able to bring his credentials to bear in resolving ILS issues relating to the Queen Elizabeth Class CVF to support initial entry into service and has a significant portfolio of projects that demonstrate his utility in this domain, as well as engineering and P3M.
Alastair Graham OBE MVO
Lead for Risk, Security and Resilience
Alastair has a unique level of experience in high security activities, predominantly for the MOD. He is our lead for cyber security, business resilience and risk having worked on a number of highly sensitive, communications and weapons programmes with a view to maintenance of leading edge Defence capabilities for the 21st Century. He has a proven track record responsible for senior stakeholder engagement with cross Government agencies and has been responsible for key elements of UK strategic programmes including capability management and assurance for assets and infrastructure valued >£500M.
Chris Steel CBE
Lead for Defence Mission Systems
Chris is our systems integration lead having previously served in the Royal Navy as a Weapons Engineer for over 30 years. He is able to bring a detailed understanding of the strategic working of Defence and applies his considerable engineering experience to a wide range of projects and programmes that have included the testing and validation and introduction to service of new products and equipments. Chris’ unique background also sees him well versed in change management and personnel capability development and sustainment.
