About the Role
You will be a highly motivated Engineer with the capacity to operate across a range of sectors, supporting complex, hazardous projects in a highly regulated fields, such as nuclear, maritime, aviation or ordnance. Capable of working with minimal supervision, the Engineer will conduct/support delivery of clearly defined, yet complex, technical projects. The successful candidate will have the ability to think tactically and strategically, applying their knowledge to a range of new technical challenges, whilst ensuring good partnerships and quality assurance are maintained. The Job Duties
Provide technical support to Engineering and Project Teams.
Capable of collaborative working with minimal supervision
Undertake activities as directed by Technical Directors, Principal Engineers and Senior Engineer
Conduct/support technical investigations
Articulates project outcomes across a broad stakeholder base
Provide technical guidance for peers as required
Responsible for maintaining excellent customer relations and providing quality assurance
Implement company policies
Essential Requirements
Hold a Bachelor’s degree (preferred not essential)
Have a minimum of 3 years professional experience post-graduation in which the individual has demonstrated core skills to deliver robust technical and programme management arguments to support client objectives
Experience of
Marine propulsion, power, combat or support/ platform systems in the surface warship or submarine domain OR
Civil nuclear OR
Risk, resilience and cyber OR
Supportability engineering
Be professionally registered with a UK Engineering Institute and working towards Incorporated or Chartered Status
Be eligible to apply for Government Security Clearance
Strong organisational and planning skills
Experience of working independently and a willingness to take ownership of issues and tasks
